Negrense Kirsten Regalado designs the national costume and evening gown of Miss Mauritius Kushboo Ramnawaj for the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
Regalado, who hails from La Castellana town in Negros Occidental, is currently based in Miami, Florida as model and fashion designer.
The national costume is a multi-colored dress showcasing the seven-colored earth of Chamarel in Mauritius consists of three elements: headdress, cape and three-piece gown.
Regalado made the evironment-friendly-themed costume in two weeks with the help of four high school students of La Consolacion College – Bacolod and a 10-year old orphan child from the city.
